Bonds ("we", "our", or "us") is a private messaging application for family and friends. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.

We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal data to third parties for advertising or commercial purposes.
Your data is stored on secure servers. Messages and media files are transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information.
Media files (photos, videos, voice messages, files) are stored on our servers and accessible only to participants of the chat where they were shared. To limit storage of large files, videos and files (not photos or voice messages) are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers 30 days after being sent.
The app administrator has technical access to data stored on our servers for the purposes of security, troubleshooting, and moderation (for example, removing content or accounts that violate our chat rules).
We use Expo's push notification delivery service, which relays notifications to Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) by Google for delivery to Android devices. Your device push token and the notification content (e.g. a message preview) are sent to our servers, then to Expo, and then to Google's FCM service solely for the purpose of delivering notifications. Your account data and messages are retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below.
Video and file attachments are automatically deleted from our servers 30 days after being sent, regardless of account status, to limit the amount of data we store. Photos and voice messages are not subject to this automatic deletion.
Bonds is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
